New Livid Outbreak Project!

When Mytron Comics produced the Livid Outbreak 6 Issue Comic Mini-Series in 2010, it was just the beginning. A spin-off Dinochiken comic strip started and the (now becoming very popular) Oliver comic story began. But, ever since, nothing has occurred in the direct Livid Outbreak story.

"That's all about to change," says Corey Conrad, writer and creator of Livid Outbreak. "I sat down with my wife, Victoria, and we decided how we were going to go about the next part of the Livid Outbreak tale. We figured the best thing to do was stick with the comic book format, but beef things up this time around."

Livid Outbreak will be an ongoing comic book series now, picking up a little bit after where Mini Series #6 left off.

"We're all really excited about it, this time around, we're going all out. I'm really inspired about the big stories that can be delivered in the classic 48-page special format, so we decided, why not do this in every action packed issue," Corey adds.

Livid Outbreak is also going to feature a few on-going stories and improved artwork.

"It's funny, the Mini-Series, was just a test. When I was a kid I always tried to make comic books ... on scrap paper ... then in Paint ... and it never worked! So, I just wanted to see how today's simple office program could handle comic book design. It looked pretty good ... so we decided to do the Mini-Series. But, I would have never imagined that we would be selling printed copies to strangers at Comic Cons! So, this time around, we're gonna get to see more story threads unfold, better characters, better artwork in general."

We can't confirm a release date for Issue #1 yet, but we do know that the future holds a lot for the Livid Outbreak universe.

Corey concludes, "I've been developing this story ever since I was 5 years old, when I invented Dinochiken. Sometime next year, will mark 20 years of this story in my head! The story changed a lot, and it keeps changing. But nonetheless, there is a lot of story to share with the world! At home, I have many overflowing folders full of ideas. It's safe to say, I have no reason to be bored for the rest of my life!"
